I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Vancouver, BC) in Jul 2024
Interview
Applied online and first stage is a video interview you submit in your own time.
Very basic questions that there isn't really a right or wrong answer to. So not sure how I didn't make it to the next stage as I was qualified. Feels like a cop out way for them to weed out people they don't like the look of without them needing to put in any effort.
Was apprehensive to apply from reading other people's Glassdoor reviews and this experience proved those people right and wasted my time.

Question 1
Why are you interested in a career in retail management? Why did you apply to this role?
This is a full time in store retail management role. Are you available to work weekends, some holidays and nights? And do you have any routine availability concerns we should be aware of?
The first step was one of those automated ones where you record your answers to prompts. There was no human being talking to you which is fine it is just something that is difficult to get used to.
I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Bethesda, MD)
Interview
The interviewer was very nice and asked some follow up questions. She said they were going to message me in less than a week but I haven’t heard anything from them yet

Interviewing with someone else?
Applied online and received an email about a week and a half later saying they wanted to schedule an interview, I responded and did not hear anything back so I called the store. I was told to wait another week since “interviews were sent on mondays”. I went into the store and met the manager the next week and she said she would send me the interview link. Never did. Pretty ridiculous and unprofessional. Charleston location.

Question 1
None because they never actually scheduled one/sent me the link.
