HR interview: I was once interview by someone in their HR department who was barely new to the company. I was ready to connect just to get a quick general question stating they have other candidate they need to interview as well... this was immediately after greetings. I felt odd but played along

Welcoming interview with expected questions. No real surprises and clear direction for next steps. Questions were pretty standard with little deviation from most interviews. Dedicated time for me to ask questions as well.
