There’s an initial phone call that is first part of the interview, and then you complete the second part of the application where you answer interview questions via video. It’s not live but you record yourself answering the questions within a certain time limit. Afterwards, once you get accepted by the program you get an offer from a school and you do one final interview (supposed to be around 90 minutes with demo lesson, role play, questions about your teaching philosophies/techniques) with the school’s administration.

Question 1
Why do you want to work with/for Achievement First?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Achievement First (New York, NY)
Interview
After a brief video interview, I was invited to interview at one of Achievement First's Brooklyn schools. I was given a tour of the building, and allowed to sit in on classrooms to observe current teachers. The most difficult part of the interview process is the demo lesson: I was required to give a 15 minute lesson on a topic of my choosing to a class of (wonderful) children. After, I spoke with the principal of the school about my work experience.
The process was very organized and timely. It was a very professional process. They were clear on their expectations for the interview process. At the beginning of the interview I was able to present my demo lesson and received quality feedback.
I applied online. I interviewed at Achievement First (Providence, RI) in Feb 2021
Interview
After submitting your resume and answering some questions you're asked to complete a video interview. If you're moved forward, you have a short phone interview before being moved onto the finalist steps. Before the finalist interview, there's a finalist prep day so that you're prepared for the final interview. In the final interview, you're asked to teach a 5-10 minute lesson plan to the interviewers.
