I was contacted for a position in Mexico as an Account Manager, it was very disappointing and unprofessional. I assume my resume got filtered in by mistake because from the very beginning the recruiter showed no interest in having my interview. First, I got an automated email with a link to book a time slot for the interview, I booked it, the very same day of the interview she sent me an email telling me, she had a flight to Europe rescheduled and that she would be contacting next week to have the interview, then I thought ok why don't you just send again the link to me so that I can book another time slot. The next week I emailed her on a Wednesday to see when we could have the interview, and got an automatic reply telling me the company was having an event in Amsterdam the whole week, so she would not reply until next week, and also asked for apologies for the time it would take her to reply given the backlog of work she would have after that week. Then I thought why did you say you would contact me next week if you already knew you were having an event?. Also it is worth to mention that the company has a part of its so called formula “we launch fast an iterate” so these kind of actions don’t seem to support that. Again, I contacted her on a Thursday the week after, and she replied giving me two options for the interview, I took one, we had the interview, but before starting the first thing she said was that she did want it to be over in 20 minutes…, the day after she finally sent the rejection email. Again to my surprise this doesn't adhere to their so called formula, they were not straight telling me they had an event and the interview would take place 2 weeks after, and they don't launch fast and iterate as I had to be the one pushing through in the process
