This review is mostly to shed light on the overall hiring process with Aerotek and my experiences with them over the past couple months. Be prepared for the constant run around! Recruiters will completely disappear after meeting with them/speaking with them once or twice. I've come into contact with about 3 different recruiters who I've either met in person or just spoke with over the phone who tell me about jobs they might have available but if I didn't show my definitive interest in the job at that moment I'd never hear back from them. Same went for them actually saying they would send my resume to a client. NEVER hear anything back one way or another. My experiences with all recruiters so far has been LACK OF FOLLOW UP. No one picks up calls or returns voicemails or emails. When finally getting them to return a correspondence, they show the faintest interest again and just mention that they might have another opportunity but ask to be sent a resume again, references again or a bulleted list on my skills. Like I said, the run around.
On the internal side: had applied to an internal position at their office that a corporate recruiter reached out to me about. Had an initial phone screening then a longer phone interview with them and then was told I had moved onto the in-person interview. Showed up to the interview and waited a half hour because the recruiter forgot to relay the interview confirmation to those in the office so no one was prepared for me. In the end, they interviewed me and seemed to play nice but IMMEDIATELY passed me off to a recruiter right after the interview to see if I was interested in being a recruiter instead. Low and behold they had already hired for the initial internal role before my forgotten interview.
Overall not too pleased with working with Aerotek, I feel like I'm trying to recruit them to be a good personal recruiter for me!
