As I close out week 2 here at Affirm, I would be remiss not to share my incredible interview experience. This was by far, the best interview process I have ever experienced!
The whole process took only 3 short weeks, which for someone who has been interviewing for the last 7 months with much longer interview process times (unnecessarily meeting with 10+ people, projects, etc.) this was truly a breath of fresh air. After applying, I was initially reached out to by Jason who is a real class act. We had our first phone screen and before we even hung up he asked for my availability for the next steps--no waiting around to hear back, he showed that he was serious about my candidacy and I appreciated that. Jason was there for me every step of the way, providing prep calls before each panel and a special shoutout to Cal for always giving me an encouraging pep talk beforehand as well :)
Once I met with the team, it became clear this was a company that not only talked the talk, but walked to walk when it came to the company values. EVERY single person I met with was incredibly kind and genuine. I already believed in the company's mission, but the people really won me over.
Jason was also great in providing me timely updates about what was happening on his end and he was just as excited as I was when it came time to give me my offer. Not to mention they turned around an offer letter in 24 hours! My hiring manager also reached out to me to let me know how excited she was to be bringing me on the team and her heartfelt messages let me know that this is a company that values its people. I did not feel like a number. I felt wanted and appreciated for what I could bring to the team before I even started and that means more to me than I'll ever be able to type out.
So again, the best interview process ever. Do your research on the company before your panels and let your interest in the mission shine through.
