I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Aflac (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2010
Interview
1) Applied for position through job searching site
2) Was contacted by hiring manager to schedule group interview
3) At group interview, attended information session which relayed information about the position, requirements, etc
4) Out of the people at group interview, some chose to accept a 2nd round, 1:1 interview
5) Attended 1:1 interview with manager and was asked a series of routine interview questions
6) Was offered a position, but declined the offer
It was a very odd process. They conduct their interviews in groups which I’ve never seen before. Honestly they seem desperate to me which I did not like. It is also all commissioned based with no salary. Very awkward to ask questions since it’s done in a group.
Met with district regional manager, in person interview, business professional attire. typical interview questions (i.e. strengths, weaknesses, how do you communicate with people, etc). Overall, not difficult and this was for an internship.
sat with multiple people going through the process. It was just the info session, but it was informative. invited to go through another round of interviews, but did not proceed.
