I was contacted by an internal recruiter who thought I would be a good fit for the role. A week or so later, I got an invitation to a first stage interview.
Whilst everyone who interviewed me seemed very friendly, the structure of the interview was less so. There were three people, including the hiring manager, and for an hour, they asked me what seemed like 100 questions, leaving very little time for me to ask any. I got the impression they were more interested in what you could offer them than the other way around.
After abruptly ending the interview citing another meeting, I was told I would hear back about the next stage. Several weeks later, I hear nothing and had no communication about what was going on.
I then contacted the internal recruiter who said he was catching up with the hiring manager and would provide me with feedback. I heard absolutely nothing, and having secured another role in that time, then reached out to say I was no longer interested. He also ignored this email too.
A shocking example of poor candidate experience. If someone spends time preparing and participating in an interview the least you can do is give them feedback, even if it's to say thank you, but no thank you. Obviously, this is not the case for Agilent, they couldn't care less.
Avoid this company, communication is low down their priority list, and they couldn't care less what you want, because all that matters to them, is what you can give to them.
