One phone screening followed by an in-person interview. It lasted about 4 hours total and involved presenting my PhD research, followed by questions. Then pairs of interviewers met with me to ask questions. This occurred for three 30-minute sessions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me how my research could be applied to the chemical processes that the interviewers worked on.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Air Products (Allentown, PA) in Oct 2012
Interview
Assessment day is a full day of interviews and an exam. Morning interviews are very simple, speaking with three different managers/engineers. 1 HR and 2 technical, although it is up to the interviewer how they want to conduct the interview. Lunch with current CDPs, a timed exam, and then you review the exam in groups before giving a short presentation on the exam and solution to another interviewer. Overall very smooth day
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Air Products
Interview
A few weeks of hearing nothing between rounds then would have another interview. Very friendly interviewers who helped if you weren't sure on some of the technical questions. Overall good experience.
