My interview process started with a brief phone screen with HR, where we talked about my background, basic accounting knowledge, and my experience with Excel. It was straightforward and mostly focused on confirming that I met the basic requirements for the role.
After that, I had a first-round interview with a senior analyst. This was more technical: they asked me to walk through the three financial statements, explain a few financial ratios, and talk about past projects where I’d done analysis or built models. There were also a few behavioural questions about how I prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
I was then given a short case study where I had to review a small set of financials and provide commentary. It wasn’t overly complex, but they wanted to see how I approached problems and communicated insights.
The final round was a conversation with the finance manager, which was more about culture fit and how I’d work with other teams. Overall, the process was smooth, structured, and took about two weeks from start to finish.
