So I took the coding assessment on Saturday, got a notification on Wednesday, phone screen on Monday, behavioral on Tuesday.
I can say everyone was polite. Just as a Sensitive Striver, I could easily tell the hiring manager didn't have much interest in me (that's just how it is), and that that was probably the first time he even looked at my resume. I probably could have done a better job if I had more time, and I have been in a collaborative environment where there was pair programming everyday. I probably also underestimated things because they didn't specifically use the word "Behavioral".
I would say the main thing I disliked is the process and lack of information beforehand. So they could have told me in the beginning that this is how it's going to go, Coding Assessment -> Phone Screen -> Behavioral -> Coding Round 1 -> Coding Round 2. But instead the information was given in the Phone Screen and then they wanted to do the Behavioral the next day, It's weird when compared to the Hiring Manager's reaction. I definitely could have had more time to prepare with my career coach if I wasn't rushed. They definitely frowned upon scheduling the Behavioral Interview the next week. I'm extremely bad at coming up with responses to STAR questions on the spot, but I've done presentations at work, with preparation.
