The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Alcoa in Feb 2011
Interview
Typical behavioral interview process around Alcoa competencies. Process takes a while if they are going through the COE in Pittsburgh. Come prepared to discuss typical leadership competencies like results orientation and drive, team work, dealing with conflict/difficult people, etc. Provide solid examples of situation, action you took, and results gained or learning opportunities. Very driven culture focused on results and cost cutting measures.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time when you had a conflict with a co-worker or manager and how did you resolve the conflict? What were the end results?
Resume screening and then invitation to do a video submission to answer given questions. Followed up a month later with a form e-mail saying "we have reviewed and we regret...". Very frustrating. No feedback or transparency.
I applied online. I interviewed at Alcoa (Pittsburgh, PA) in Apr 2017
Interview
The interview was very professional and well-done. Asked very meaningful questions and appeared to genuinely care about me as a potential employee. They were very prompt in calling me after my application was submitted.
