I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Allied Universal (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
I am actually an officer acquired in a merge with another company. At the previous company,
I had applied online on a job board and didn't even realize it was security. It took them approximately two months to contact me back. They called me in, had me fill out a form of my home location and what hours I wanted. They looked through their list of gigs, and sent me off to interview immediately. I didn't have any security experience, but I had been in customer service for a year, and so that was enough. When they hired me, I went back and got registered in their system. I went through orientation/training, took my test, passed, received my licenses and was working within a week.

Interview
After submitting my application, I received an e-mail with instructions to complete a one-way video interview. A few days after this was completed, I received a phone call from the Account Manager for the location to schedule an in-person interview. During the in-person interview itself, I was asked several questions to determine any existing qualifications, prior experience, and understanding of the job I was applying for, along with schedule preferences. Once the interview was completed, I was given an offer shortly after and sent to the nearest branch office to complete onboarding and guard certification.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked if I possessed an active CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
Pretty standard interview questions. Made sure you were a fit. They wanted to make sure you could work certain schedules and see how flexible you could be, what you were looking for in terms of compensation.
