I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England) in Aug 2018
Interview
There were four interview stages in total.
Round 1: This was a short telephone interview with competency based questions and general questions surrounding the role.
Round 2: This interview was at the office in London with a Manager who asked questions about background, as well as competency based questions that can be found here on other reviews.
Round 3: This was the case study interview again at the office in London where I was sat in a room with 30 minutes to complete a case study. After the 30 minutes, I was asked to discuss the case study with two managers and reflect on my process in answering the case study. The second half of the interview was more personal and background related.
Final Stage: Interview at London office with a VP which was focused on getting to know you as a a person including your motivation and background.
Every stage of the interview process was great, and at every stage of the process there was transparency surrounding what the role encompasses. All of the interviewers were friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic, and really seemed interested about me as a candidate. There are lots of negative reviews about disingenuous job advertising, but at each stage of the interview it was stressed that this role focuses on surface level research across a broad range of industries (with a client facing sales component attached) as opposed to being a deep diving analytical role.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
6 stage interview, not very conversational based. Felt uncomfortable and like a test. The interviewer felt uninterested and was not paying attention half the time. I had two interviews over Zoom.
