Interview
I had an interview with the HR of AlphaSights, got through to the next round of a case study which I will do in two days. The interview seemed split into two halves: First - about me, Second - about AlphaSights. During the first I was asked to go through my CV and A level/unit/subject/career choices from then up to the present. I was particularly asked about how I came to look into AlphaSights despite having no business experience and my CV being full of public sector. Then it was very detailed questioning about AlphaSights and what they do for clients, what the clients might need/look for from AlphaSights, and about the graduate role and what you would do on a project. I had done a lot of research going through AS website fully, looking up all the different client types and what they do, and researching expert networks and the industry, which all paid off so would recommend being thorough.

I applied for the Graduate Analyst position at London. The process lasted for around 1 month from contacted by hr to interview. I went through HR screening and user interview. The interview process was okay.

Interview
The interview was conducted online and lasted around 20 minutes. It was a one-to-one video interview with a hiring manager. The questions were mainly focused on my background, previous experience, and motivation for applying to the Graduate Analyst position. They also asked about my expected salary and availability. The atmosphere was professional but friendly, and the interview followed a structured format.
Good interview, asking primarily about characteristics and personal experiences. Very self-focused, with a lot of emphasis on personality rather than technical ability. Overall interviewers in both screening and first-round interviews were nice people and polite.
