I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Saint Joseph, MO)
Interview
Four one-on-one interviews with upper management with a plant tour and lunch. I was already personally familiar with the interviewers and one of them was using his cell phone throughout the entire interview; very rude but not entirely surprising from the particular individual. Another asked difficult technical questions not at all related to the job just seemingly to set me up for failure. Then to top it off, it took about two weeks longer than promised to receive feedback. Very poor experience from a reputable company for which I had formerly had a good perception.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Mount Airy, NC) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview started with a plant tour and was followed by five rounds of interviews with mangers from varying departments and backgrounds. The process was then followed by lunch as a local restaurant.
Multiple rounds of interviews. Last round was 5 more interviews with different departments. Great process to really get a lot of view points about the company. Showed around the plant and even got to ride in a sky lift

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Altec Industries (Pilot Mountain, NC) in Oct 2023
Interview
The interview process was long - about 6 rounds of 30 minute interviews, each with two people. But it gave me a good idea of the kind to people who work for the company and I got a well rounded explanation of all the engineering disciplines I might work in.
