      Legal Bill Analyst Interview

      Jan 7, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at AmTrust (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2013

      Interview

Just the facts: The interviewer (an attorney) appeared slovenly dressed (wrinkled shirt with a pair of old jeans suitable for painting a house). His demeanor was extremely subdued, and he spoke in barely audible monotones. He seemed very depressed. At the begging of the interview, he told me he disliked the job and that he would rather be practicing law and in trial, but becuase of the bad economy, he took the job. He went on to describe the available position in drab, uninteresting terms. Based on his lack of questions and awkward pauses, he was either unprepared or had decided against hiring me when he laid eyes on me. Toward the end of the interview, we were joined by a supervisor who was also unprepared for the interview and had trouble thinking of questions to ask me.

      Question 1

I prepared for the toughest questions. I didn't get any.
