I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Orlando, FL) in Apr 2015
Interview
Amazon held an information session at my school. After meeting that day, they scheduled an interview for the end of the week. The interview was long about 2.5 hours and included a math flow problem and an interview with and HR employee and then an employee who worked in the fulfillment center. All the interviewers were nice but it was off-putting that the email regarding the interview said that all applicants would be given an answer (either yes or no) in 5 days. I did not hear anything after a week and attempted to follow up and never heard back.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Conflict between coworkers, how would you approach resolving?
or an Amazon Level 4 (L4) Area Manager phone interview, you will face 2 to 3 main behavioral questions, alongside a highly possible operational math screening question. Because L4 is typically an entry-level management role (often targeted at recent college graduates or individuals with early-stage leadership experience), the focus shifts heavily toward potential, basic problem-solving, and your ability to lead groups of people
STAR method is a must. very results focused so add what you contributed. had 3 back to back interviews that were quick and they spent most of the time reading and taking notes
