I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in Jun 2025
Interview
Round 1 – Behavioral (LP-focused)
They went deep into Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Questions like:
• Tell me about a time you worked under pressure with tight deadlines
• What technical problem did you solve recently?
• What tech did you learn and why?
I answered everything using the STAR format with real examples from my projects and internships.
🔹 Round 2 – Coding + Behavioral
45 minutes turned into 1 hour
• Got a LeetCode Hard-level problem and went through multiple optimizations and follow-ups.
• Explained my thought process at every step what, why, and trade-offs.
This round really tested clarity, communication, and stress handling.
🔹 Round 3 – Full Technical
It was all coding starting with a BST problem and then adding changing requirements mid-solution.
Adaptability and structured thinking were key.
I received an Online Assessment (OA) invitation from Amazon. The assessment consisted of two coding questions of medium to hard difficulty, focusing on data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills. The questions required efficient solutions with optimized time and space complexity. After the OA, shortlisted candidates typically proceed to one or more technical interview rounds covering coding, system design, and behavioral questions based on Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Applied online via career site, received OA link within 2 days and cleared it, Round 1- DSA, Round-2 DSA, Round 3- System Design, Round 4- Mixed Technical Discussion and Behavioral.
