      Flight Attendant Interview

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines

      Interview

Two interviews, one virtual and one in person. The virtual interview is a weed out interview. They have had almost 30,000 applicants since they opened their applications. You will only be asked to do 2 things: introduce yourself and answer a standard interview question. Make sure in the virtual interview you are smiling, answering kindly, and looking extremely professional. Do not join from your phone and do not have a chaotic background. You have such a limited time to speak that the number 1 most important thing is your image and how you represent yourself. I heard back after about 8 days to schedule my face to face, and they were great about rescheduling me since that date didn't work out. At the face to face, they will fly you out to Dallas for an all day interview. Your interview starts the second you arrive at the headquarters. Make sure you are professional, kind, and friendly at ALL times. I cannot stress this enough. Do not let your guard down even for a second, even if you think no one is watching. For example, I saw someone pull their mask down below their nose and they were asked to leave early.... don't do this unless you are taking a drink. Anyway, the interview begins with you getting your passport checked. Then, you are escorted up to a conference room and asked to sit at a specific table and to complete a writing assignment. Socialize with your group and smile!!! After that, you do some icebreaker activities and team work activities. Then you are asked a round table standard interview question. After that people were sent home. If you were not sent home, you do a reach test and buckle in the jump seat. Then you are called out 1 by 1 for a standard one on one interview. You are asked about relocating (for the love of God, say YES you will relocate even if you know you do not plan to lol), and a couple job related questions. For example, name a time when something unexpected happened in the workplace that you had to adjust to. At the end, I was offered a CJO on the spot and went for drug testing and completed paperwork. After that I was shuttled back to the airport.
