I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
The process started on time. There were two interviews spaced a days a part. A lot of TSA and people from contracting agencies were there. If you do not currently have airport clearance don't bother to apply. AA is not trying to waste time getting clearances for the 200 plus hiring goals they have. I have clearance. But my friends who worked at the airports other than LAX, like out of state, were not hired by AA. I was because my LAX airport experience is recent.

In person, they gave a presentation, then they make sure you’re fine with the pay and job duties, but then to my surprise they didn’t ask many situational questions, only 3, so it wasn’t too hard.
