1. Check-In and Badging
Upon arrival, candidates checked in at the front desk and were provided with visitor badges.
2. Resume Confirmation
Some applicants, including myself, were called aside for a brief resume verification. The process was somewhat rushed, and there was limited opportunity to elaborate on previous experience.
3. Initial Presentation
Afterward, all candidates participated in a PowerPoint presentation that provided an overview of the company and the flight attendant position.
4. Group Exercise: Situational Scenarios
Candidates were divided into smaller groups to complete a situational judgment activity. Each group was asked to prioritize several inflight scenarios from “most important” to “least important” and discuss their reasoning as a team.
5. Practical Skills Assessment
Following the group exercise, participants completed a reach test and a safety demonstration, which included operating a seatbelt and performing a brief PA announcement.
6. Second Presentation and Conclusion
Once the assessments concluded, candidates returned to the main room for a second PowerPoint presentation. Afterward, interviewers announced that the session was over.
7. Candidate Dismissal
Those not selected were escorted out through a different exit than the one used for entry, which felt unusual and somewhat confusing.
8. Post-Interview Observations
After dismissal, several attendees noted that many of those not advancing were former flight attendants from other airlines, though some with prior experience were selected. The selection process appeared somewhat inconsistent.
