I applied directly through their website. After 1 1/2-2 weeks I heard from a recruiter to set up a phone interview. The recruiter called me more than 10 mins past our scheduled time, she did apologize, but didn’t seem genuine, more like it happened frequently. First couple questions went well although I felt she was rushing me & then she asked if I had previous experience leading a team, to which I responded honestly that I had not. She said “O, well that’s a big deal since this role requires leading a team of 3-4, so we’re really looking for someone with that experience.” I appreciated her honesty, However, it didn’t state that ANYWHERE in the job posting. Not in desired requirements or job description. If that’s what you’re looking for, make it clear in your job posting & don’t set up interviews with candidates that don’t have this on their resume! I knew the interview was over after that comment, I tried to highlight my leadership opportunities, but she quickly ended the interview. That was December 13th & I didn’t receive a rejection email until January 11th.
