I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Tampa, FL) in Nov 2009
Interview
I went in to shop and enjoyed the employees so I asked if the store was hiring. I filled out an application and the manager asked me a few basic questions after reviewing my application. These questions were about gaps in employment and plans for the future. I was then called and asked to come in for an interview. I had a one-on-one interview with the general manager. We walked around the store during this process. She asked me why I wanted to work there and what I would be able to bring to the company. A few days later I was called and given the job.

-pretty easy, went inside for an interview and they asked me about my experience. They then made me try on a bunch of clothes and taught me how to fold them.

I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Columbia, MD)
Interview
It was very easy as I knew someone who worked there. They got me an interview and asked me basic questions. They verbally gave me an offer on the spot and I got a offical offer a week later.
