I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters in Oct 2012
Interview
Really easy. I shopped here a lot before asking for an application. When you ask for one, Do not fill it out at the register, it's unprofessional. I brought it back and asked to speak to the hiring manager. She said she would call to set up an interview. If you are interested in apply to any retail store I highly suggest you go in the store and see some of the product they sell, maybe even buying something. Not only will you become familiar with the product but the managers and associates get familiar with you as well. They are more likely going to hire someone who is loyal to their brand and has some knowledge about it compared to someone who has none.

-pretty easy, went inside for an interview and they asked me about my experience. They then made me try on a bunch of clothes and taught me how to fold them.

Interview
It was very easy as I knew someone who worked there. They got me an interview and asked me basic questions. They verbally gave me an offer on the spot and I got a offical offer a week later.
