I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in Sep 2011
Interview
The first step was a phone interview and then I had to go into the store for an in-person group interview where standard retail interview questions were asked. Then, we had to complete an online personality test in store. My results said that I was a type "green" personality. They already had quota of "green" personality types as associates so I was only eligible for hire as a floor-set associate with much fewer hours.

Question 1
What is an example of a work-place problem that you have had to deal with?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters
Interview
The first interview was like a get to know you interview. I spoke with the Sales Lead in the fitting room the morning when it wasn't so busy. The questions were pretty generic. What are your interests? What are you studying in school? Why do you want to work for the company? The last question is always the most important. The second interview was with the store manager. It was a bit more intense and straight forward. Many job and experience related questions. Good Luck!
