American Eagle Outfitters interview questions

I came in and filled out an application. I didn't hear back right away (a week) so I called to see if they were still hiring, and ended up setting up an interview. The interview was in a group. I dressed casually, jeans and a sweater, flats. The manager has only been there since June so she's a bit new to the company, but her enthusiasm really showed. We started off by introducing ourselves and then she asked questions like why do you want to work here out of the 250 stores in the mall, why american eagle? what kind of activities are we involved in at school, describe a good salesperson, how would you describe american eagle to someone who had never shopped there, what makes them different than like pac sun, what did we like about past jobs? Things like that. Everyone had questions to ask her, like why does she like working there, what do you do if you are going on a vacation, how do they handle the holiday season.. She said that we'd get like 10-15 hours right now before the holidays, and they're usually there until like 12 midnight. i imagine minimum wage. I just had the interview today so I don't know if i'll get an offer or not. She has to look the apps over with her other manager and if I get a call I'm hired. so we'll see what happens !

I really had a hook up from a friend who worked here. I got a call after going in and handing in an application. I showed up for the interview the next day, very casual dress. They're looking for very outgoing people. Be prepared to stand out in a crowd as group interviews are not uncommon.
