I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at American Red Cross
Interview
After applying online (internship openings were posted much later than promised), I was eventually contacted by someone from HR (if I recall correctly) to set up the initial phone interview. We had a great conversation about my background and what the internship would entail, and then she eventually passed my name onto the hiring manager. About a week later, he contacted me and we had a second phone interview a week following that. Finally, I was offered the position only a few weeks before the summer internship was to start. Applying for one of these internships requires you to know you want it- applications open and all interviews happen after most application cycles are complete. For example, I had another internship lined up before I was even able to apply for this one.
Very easy interview process, you begin with one zoom with someone who is regional then the executive director of your chapter/ whoever you may be working directly under throughout the time of your internship, the first interview is more structured.
I interviewed at American Red Cross (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process was 4 stages of interviews with all parts of the team that I was applying to, everyone was nice and it wasn't too hard. the questions were behavioral
Only one round of interview (suppose to be 3 rounds, but the second and third round was just to confirm my availabilities). Mostly behavioral questions. Biggest challenge/ previous working experiences, etc.
