Amgen interview questions

Quick video call with manager - very easy felt like a conversation. I had a quick video call with the hiring manager, and it felt very easy and conversational. The tone was relaxed, and the conversation flowed naturally — more like a casual discussion than a formal interview. We talked about the day-to-day responsibilities of the role, the importance of consistency in cell culture and assay prep, and how the team supports Amgen’s high-throughput screening pipeline. The manager seemed approachable and supportive, and I appreciated how clearly they explained what success in the role looks like. They seemed genuinely interested in my background and how it aligns with the position. Overall, the conversation left me feeling even more confident that this is a team I’d enjoy working with and a role where I could grow and contribute meaningfully.

I applied initially through LinkedIn. Couple of weeks later I received a call from TA. She shared the overall hiring process which includes initial virtual tech evaluation round with one of the Senior Mgr. Second Round would be On-site discussion with different panels. 1st Tech evaluation round was schedule few days later. In the 1st round I was asked a coding problem and different optimal ways to implement the solution. 2nd question was on System Design (Design a book borrowing application). Later he moved on to resume and asked about cloud-native exposure, understanding of LLM models, AI/ML exposure. I got the feeling that he is looking for someone who has hands-on experience in that. Interview concluded after this discussion. I have not received any update or callback about 1st round yet. Will update if there is any further progress
