      Program Manager Interview

      May 30, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

      I interviewed at Amplify

      Interview

Terrible professionalism. Had an initial phone interview that seemed to go really well and I was really excited about the role. The HR person told me I should hear back within the week and if not that I should feel free to email her anytime and she would be happy to give me a status update or answer any questions. I didn't hear back for a week and then another week. Finally, after reaching out multiple times, the HR person responded and said she would definitely have an update by the EOW. The week came and passed. And then another week passed. Not until I finally reached out again did I hear anything back. At that point, I was asked if I could hop on the phone later that day. I canceled other meetings to take the call only to be told immediately that they had decided to move forward with another candidate. While I can accept being not selected, at a bare minimum you should have the respect to let people know within a reasonable time frame.

      Interview

The process took about two weeks. Interviews were personable and the director took a great deal of time learning what I was looking for to make sure we had a right fit for the position or potential future position.

      Program Manager Interview

      Feb 26, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Amplify

      Interview

This experience was by far the most unprofessional experience I've ever had interviewing with a company. While the actual interviews were professional, the way they handled business at the end turned me off from Amplify completely. I interviewed for a PM position back in October, and I was recommended for a similar PM position in another city. Over the course of 4 months, I went through 6 interviews and completed two different performance tasks. During the interviews, I was repeatedly told how qualified I was for this position. We seemed to all be on the same page regarding my skill set and experience, and they all agreed I was a good fit for the role. After waiting weeks to hear back after the final interview, I had to email both the Director and the Hiring Manager to finally get an update that all the positions had been filled. I was offered no feedback at all even after reaching out to Hiring Manager requesting some sort of answer. Two days later Amplify reposted the position on their website, and four days later they reposted it on LinkedIn. Two weeks after that they promoted the position on LinkedIn, and they are still currently hiring for this role. While I am an adult and can handle rejection, I am still in shock at the blatant lies that were told regarding the positions being filled. The fact that dragged me along for 4 months to just send a one sentence email stating a lie is beyond me. I thought very highly of this company before this experience, but after this I will never apply to Amplify again. It is 2022 and the least you can do is provide decency and respect to your candidates. I should have been told within the first 1-2 interviews that I was not going to be considered, or at least provided with some feedback in the end when "all the positions had been filled." I pride myself on my honesty and transparency and that is something I look for in a company. I did not find that at Amplify.
