The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Anaplan
Interview
2nd round interview with a recruiter, asked about the rest of the process and she told me that there was at least 1 more recruiter screening. 3 recruiters asking the same questions is a bit excessive if you ask me.
Overall straightforward questions, recruiter #2 sounded like she was 1/2 asleep while reading from her questioning prompt. I remember feeling like I was interacting with a fast food drive through order taker that is just going through the motions.
I asked her at the end if she had any reservations with moving me forward and her response was that she’s concerned that I don’t have a bachelors degree. That’s all fine albeit disagreeable. I’ve been in sales for 10 years and am a consistent top performer. I’d encourage Anaplan to take a holistic look at their talent pool for real life transferable skills and demonstrated success in a closing role vs bachelor degrees. You’re reps aren’t hitting or missing quotas because of 4 years at a university.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Anaplan (Madrid) in Nov 2025
Interview
The process has been very straightforward, divided into four phases. At all times, I have known the outcome of the previous phase and the next steps.
If I had any questions, I got an answer almost immediately.

Question 1
Describe a bad work situation, and how you solved it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Anaplan (Düsseldorf) in Aug 2025
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter with an appropriate and enticing message, so I agreed to a first call. After the call, we decided to continue the process and a call was set with global divisional manager. In total I spoke with 6 people, all of which I would be working with should I join. While some people might be put off by this amount of calls, I very much appreciated the calls as I could gauge the people I would be working with. The interviews were more of an open discussion (greatly appreciated) and not following some general pathway. The product/market for this sales position is in a niche market and as I have a good amount of experience in the market, the discussion gravitated to the subject matter. Thus, for the interview difficulty I only put average but that is because I have the industry knowledge - without that knowledge it would have been a very difficult process.
The recruiter (Mark W.) was very proactive - informing about next steps, providing feedback, asking for feedback and so on. I always felt I was in good hands with him and because the process went so smooth, it was one of the reasons I decided to join the company.
