Anaplan Solutions Consultant interview questions

I have interviewed twice with Anaplan over the past 6 months - both experiences have been poor at best. There was a large lack of professionalism in both situations and it happened to be with the same Arizona based recruiter for both positions. For the original position, I had just finished my third round of interviews for the position. The director had informed me that the recruiter would reach out to me with next steps later that afternoon. The recruiter ultimately did and informed me that they would like to bring me out for an onsite session. I responded with my availability shortly after receiving her request. However, 2 hours after my response, I received an email from said recruiter that her previous email was not intended for me but rather another candidate. There was never an apology or follow up from this insulting gaff. About 3 weeks later I did receive an automated response saying they were choosing other candidates to pursue. The 2nd interview I had with Anaplan was much of the same, they had reached out to schedule another round of interviews in the next day or so and asked for my availability to schedule that. After a week, I did not hear back on when that next round would be even after I had reached out a couple of times to follow up. A little bit of communication and professionalism goes a long way.

I applied online and was contacted a month later. I had a screening call with the recruiter that went great and she passed me on to the hiring manager. It only took about 45 seconds on the phone with the hiring manager for him to tell me they were only considering candidates with 8+ years experience in financial planning. I do not have that and made no attempt to make anyone believe that I did. The hiring manager basically spent the next 30 minutes telling me that I wasn’t qualified for this role but that “maybe” he could talk to some people to find a fit in some lesser capacity. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to fight back and sell myself or just wait for him to decide to end the interview. In the end it was a waste of my time and a very uncomfortable phone call—not sure why the hiring manager chose to call me if he obviously had no intentions of moving forward.
