HR contacted by email and scheduled a time to talk on phone. Discussed on a few resume related topics, everything went well and resume was forwarded to the hiring manager. After a few days, I get a reply saying that we are first considering candidates whose years of experience (3 years) matches the job description and then we will consider you (2 years) incase the position does not get filled out. Please do not waste a candidates time and bother them by calling in the first place if they don't meet the initial criteria you need per your job description. You have to know that a candidate does spend a lot of time in preparation before taking the call. It is not professional to call them and later let them know that you are going to be considered last, if others reject this job. Also, please judge a candidate based on their skills and not years of experience.
