I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Angi in Aug 2021
Interview
I was contacted through a recruiter, who put me through a phone screen. I was told that the process would be expedited since I was waiting to hear back from another company for which I had already gone through the final interview rounds. After passing a HackerRank test, which is timed at four hours, I was interviewed by the hiring manager, who asked me some Java-specific questions, and was then put through the final rounds, which took four hours (they let you split this part up). The process went like this:
-Talk to a senior dev about the solutions you coded for the HackerRank test
-Talk to some more senior technical members about systems design (this was new to me so I stumbled a bit)
-Get asked behavioral questions by non-senior devs
-Talk to the VP of the department you would potentially be working for.
I thought I did okay in the final round interviews. This was back in late August. I still haven't heard back from them, even after emailing the recruiter. I would have given them a positive review if I had heard back in a more timely fashion, but I suppose I couldn't even be given that courtesy in spite of being told that this process would be "expedited" for me. Expect to get ghosted by this company.

Question 1
HackerRank test, design a Netflix-like streaming service.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Angi (Denver, CO) in Apr 2025
Interview
interview process was structured and professional. technical rounds were challenging but fair, focusing on problem solving and coding skills. communication was clear, and feeedback was timely. Overall a positive experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Angi in Aug 2023
Interview
One phone call to discuss interesting and ensure that experience was aligned with the role, timeline, citizenship, etc. Then performed a take home hacker rank assessment in a two hour window. Following successful completion of assessment was a 3 hr interview over zoom. 30 minutes to an hour was spent on each of the topics and a different interviewer conducted each topic: Code review of take home exam, API/Data/HTTP modeling, Eng Culture/soft skills, Eng Leadership/soft skills. Overall I was very impressed by the team, they were professional and kind. HR was faster in scheduling and communication than other companies I have interviewed with. It truly left a good impression on me, however the compensation was low for my area and I ultimately took a higher offer. Engineering org is 100% remote.
Given some data tables add additional columns and tables to fulfill a project requirement, then provide some pseudo code to expose this data through api.

Interview
Good communication from recruiter throughout the whole process.
First step is a 30 minute phone screen, totally standard, typical background questions.
Next stage is a take-home coding assessment. It's pretty straightforward, and you are given ample time to complete it.
After that, there are about 4 hours of final round interviews, which can be split over two days. Culture fit, going over the take-home assignment, a design exercise, and a leadership meeting. They send you an overview that breaks down what to expect in each interview and links some helpful resources beforehand.
I heard back with an offer about 3 days after the last interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Culture and leadership interviews are pretty typical behavioral questions. Design exercise was coming up with database table structure for a problem.
