I applied online. I interviewed at Applied Materials in Sep 2021
Interview
First got a phone call from the hiring manger to schedule video interview. The manager sounded bias. He already questioned the truthiness of my resume. During the interview, interviewers did not ask self introduction or previous school projects/experiences. Instead, after company and position introduction, they asked a bunch of terminologies. The whole interview felt more like an interrogation or going on an exam. If you don't know the answer they would jump to another without further discussions. They seemed to not care of what you think or approach to a problem but rather on how much knowledge you already have. It might be because the nature of this position. Although the title is Software Engineer, it is more like a Software Validation Engineer.
