I recently went through a rather disheartening experience while interviewing for a position at Aptean. I feel compelled to share my perspective, as this has been one of the most frustrating encounters I have had in my job search. Initially, I want to express my gratitude to Fee for providing me with the update. However, I must convey my extreme disappointment with how the entire process unfolded. What was supposed to be an informal meeting turned into a breaking point for me. I invested a significant amount of time and effort into this application, enduring a lengthy process consisting of six interviews, including two face-to-face meetings. In total, I spent approximately 40-80 hours on this application, not to mention the substantial financial burden of over 100 euros on travel costs. To make matters worse, I turned down two job offers in the past three weeks based on the assurance I received that an offer from Aptean was imminent. Unfortunately, this turned out to be far from the truth. The consequences of your company's actions have had a substantial setback on my professional pursuits. Furthermore, it is with great disappointment that I must announce my intention to share this experience through a Glassdoor review. I sincerely believe that this has been the worst encounter I have ever had in the job application process. By the end of our last meeting, it became evident that my chances of success were deliberately blocked, regardless of my efforts. The repeated emphasis on my alleged lack of market knowledge, despite this being known on your end from day one, was quite apparent. In all honesty, the only feedback I can provide is a plea to ensure that future applicants' time and resources are not wasted. This entire ordeal has left me disillusioned and frustrated, particularly when I consider the opportunity costs associated with my involvement in this process. If I were to calculate the number of hours wasted using my normal consultant fee, the amount could easily cover a much-needed holiday. In conclusion, I hope my feedback will encourage Aptean to reevaluate its recruitment practices and provide a more respectful and considerate experience for future applicants. I sincerely hope that no one else has to endure the disappointment and frustration that I have experienced throughout this process.
