I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ArcelorMittal (Genk) in Jun 2012
Interview
First a meeting with the hr manager. Then a discussion about the most important safety issues. Afterwards, you get another meeting with a bureau whereafter you are hired or not. After the confirmation that you are hired you get the safety programm all over again, just to make sure you got it all and to show how important safety is for the company
Casual interview with team leaders (questions about background, interests, some simple technical questions related to the role), then an HR interview for a more comprehensive background check (questions about certain projects and experiences).
Bad, This felt like an actual interview, I was hammered with question after question for more than 1 hour 3o minutes straight. Never felt so bad for myself before. Overall, my experience was very poor and I never heard anything back from them fortunately,
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ArcelorMittal (Brussels) in Jan 2023
Interview
It was not so hard, just your usual "why are you interested in doing an internship in this company?" and they let me propose around three different topics I could work on already in the department I wanted to be part of
