I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Sheffield, England) in Dec 2012
Interview
First interview at ARM in Sheffield. Interviewed by two Design Engineers. Focus was on writing and using Verilog for testing and development even though it was obvious from my CV that I was very much a software engineer and not a hardware/design engineer. The guys interviewing me knew nothing about software development (by their own admission).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Various Verilog detailed questions. I had about 3 months experience of Verilog some 8 years ago. I can't remember the details of the questions.
It went on for 45min. It was fairly easy. Focused on the basics of SV and UVM. It was directly with the hiring manager. They seemed open and genuinely a good interview experience
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Arm (Bengaluru) in May 2021
Interview
1 online interview followed by 4 rounds in person. This could have been fully online. After going there, they took zoom call even lunch was not provided in time. They did not help me escort or even enter. HR support was poor. When you invite a candidate you cannot take work from home on that day
