Interview
I applied online. I was contacted about six months later and asked to come into the local office to take a recruitment test. The test questions were things like "What is your understanding of what fire engineering is?" and "What fire safety measures should be taken in a building with x number of floors, mixed residential/commercial use, etc?" I was contacted and asked to participate in a video interview approximately a month later. The interview was fairly relaxed. It was conducted by one person from my discipline and one person randomly selected. They asked me about myself, why I was interested in this job, and about my experience. I was told I would hear back within four weeks, and I received an offer about a week and a half later.
