Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. As Asana’s recruiting lead and someone who has been on the team for three years now, I’d like to apologize for the fact that multiple Asanas came across as self-entitled to you during your interviews. While I am proud of working at Asana and encourage my teammates to share in that feeling, there are many ways to express it in a way that is humble and egoless without making others feel less-than. Your comment is a reminder to find that balance and create an environment that’s inclusive to all—whether they are Asana employees or not.
The candidate experience is something we value highly. It’s a chance to get to know candidates’ personalities and their skills. It’s also an opportunity for candidates to get to know us better and decide whether Asana is the right place for them. While I’m sorry for the way our team came across to you, thank you for your honesty and the reminder to keep our values in mind while expressing our enthusiasm for working here. We’ve shared your feedback with the team and hope that this doesn’t happen again.
