Talked with a recruiter, met with the hiring manager and then a panel interview with various other team members that included a small project. Like a lot of companies in the early 2020s and up until recently, the hiring manager was really just a former an IT manager who was given security responsibilities but didn't really have a good handle on security concepts. He seemed focused on a lot of flashy stuff to burnish his credentials but at expense of the basics. Impression is that it would have been a tough place to work because a lot of time would have been spent explaining things.
