Atlassian Senior Data Engineer interview questions

First chat with talent person was good - he gave thorough information about what the next interview would be: a collaboration with two people to provide a high-level solution to a problem. However, instead it was just some vague questions like, "Can you describe how you would get data into a data warehouse?" and no matter what I answered, it didn't seem to be the right answer for what they wanted. I kept asking for clarification on what level of detail they were expecting, but they were unable to explain. I sent an email to the talent person afterwards to describe what happened and got an email the following day saying that they would not be proceeding with my application.
