The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian (Sydney)
Interview
Did not expect too much professionalism from a big company, but they managed to surprise me.
After the initial application a recruiter reached out that my profile looks interesting (template email #1) and they sent me a pdf ('mindset exercise') to have an understanding on my experience and thinking. Did that, 2 weeks later the same recruiter sent me an email and that the hiring manager really liked my answers (template email #2) and it's time to set up a phone call. I did spend actual time to prepare for the call with reading their blog posts (did not regret this one as it's useful stuff) but I was making efforts here. Apparently I was alone with this as a very bored recruiter called me and did not even bother with introducing herself and the company. When I mentioned I was doing some preparation and reading about how they are doing quality engineering her comment was "ok so you know everything right? why don't you talk abouth your most recent experience then?".
The whole conversation then turned into a rather emberassing q&a session with pointless questions like how would I rate my exploratory testing skills (two more she had, we were in the call for about 8 minutes).
I received an email on the next day that they have chosen not to continue with my application (template #3).
2 days later I already have an offer from a different company for a senior role.
