Nowadays, the interview process can be grueling and unforgiving, but Audible takes care to make it as painless as possible. Their format is very similar to pre-pandemic with an HR screening, phone interview, and panel interviews. They do also include some type of assignment based on your role, but it's applicable and doesn't take too long. Other companies had me taking 45+ minute assessments with math and word problems. They are very transparent throughout the process, and provide detailed interview preparation materials. They want interview answers to be in the STAR method. Each panel member asks questions related to one of their People Principles. There was no expectation I have done this exact role and the interviewers were very understanding of transferable skills. Everyone I spoke with was very nice and approachable. I was never asked why I left my prior job, about a gap in employment, or anything else that a lot of companies scrutinize lately. It was apparent they emphasize inclusivity and avoid problematic "red flag" questions that have become common at many companies.
