I applied online. I interviewed at AutoZone (Memphis, TN) in Feb 2021
Interview
Applied online, maybe two days later received an email from the corporate recruiter to schedule a phone interview, later that day received an email from HR coordinator to schedule virtual interview to meet with TA Director and TA Manager.
Met with Director first, he seemed friendly talked about Autozone overall TA process. His portion of interview very informal no real specific questions or behavioral/situational based questions, more like two guys just talking about business of recruiting. He talked about himself a lot. I did notice one thing, when I mentioned that diversity and inclusion recruiting methods and processes were important to me he seemed to be put off as his tone and face changed -- but I could be reading more into it.
Then I met with the Manager she seemed generally engaged and asked some decent questions, went into detail on type of positions the role will recruit and the personalities you will have to deal with. I thought I answered the questions in detailed and after the interview with her she said "I look forward to speaking with you again" so I though perhaps a culture/team interview would be coming, but apparently not.
Overall they seem like a decent recruitment team. The Manager and Director seem supportive and want to have a winning team.
