I applied online. I interviewed at Avanade in Oct 2021
Interview
The interviewer was fantastic and the initial rounds went very well. However, the next round was not good. The director was not sure of the role. Thus another round of ambiguous case study/code happened. I cleared that too and gained the trust of the director.
Just before they release the offer, the HR said that the position has been filled and to try back later.
First had an interview with HR, which was a very unpleasant conversation. She pushed me to tell my current salary and my other offers, while I mentioned I felt uncomfortable to share. The second round was a more technical round. The interviewer did not try to make me feel comfortable, which is just maybe their approach. It was not a conversation but more a technical test.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked the basic data science questions such as what is overfitting and explaining different types of models.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Avanade (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2023
Interview
It starts with a recruiter screening to assess background and fit. This is followed by a technical interview with coding challenges or problem-solving exercises. A behavioral interview evaluates teamwork and adaptability. Finally, candidates meet with the hiring manager or a panel for a deeper discussion on technical skills and past projects.
Two rounds of interview, both exactly the same. Rudely got told on the phone by a disgruntled recruited that I performed poorly, and that she would let me know the outcome in the future. Never got back to me
