I had been applying to several remote recruiting roles for Aya Healthcare. I eventually received their assessment test via email and completed that as well and continued to wait for someone to reach out. I was very interested in the recruiting roles they had open as well as the company in general. I took initiative and I reached out to several recruiters via in LinkedIn and was able to get myself an interview. I was surprised when they told me I was interviewing for a 3 month contract recruiter role that consisted of me recruiting for nurses to distribute COVID-19 vaccines because I had never even applied to that role. Either way I was very interested in the company so I interviewed and was able to get to the final 3rd interview. As I was preparing for my last interview I get a call from someone else stating that my interview has been canceled because this role is being discussed further. Several days later I get a rejection email and I followed up asking questions as to why this had occurred and if I could possibly be considered for other recruiting roles that I had ACTUALLY applied to. I never heard anything back from anyone and they guaranteed they wouldn’t just ghost me. I understand that people are busy but it’s not a good look to leave people high and dry or to waist so much of their time and then not have the courtesy to at least give them an explanation.
