My interview experience was good at first but ended with a very bad taste in my mouth. This is long but hopefully will help others understand the process. I was contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin, the experience with the recruiter was AMAZING honestly one of the best I've had in my now months long new career search. She answered all my questions and went above and beyond to help. Now after my several interviews with the recruiter came time for the interview with those that I would actually be reporting to if I was to earn the role. It was with two women who were 1. Late to join the zoom, 2. Dressed very unprofessionally, 3. One of them was in the car driving, 4. They both had awful connections making the interview clunky and awkward. Despite these things I pressed on and decided to give them a chance. Here is a short list of what I experienced: - They asked surface level questions, seemed super disinterested from the get go, and didn't allow me to expand on answers - They cut me off more than once - One of them insulted my military service saying it wouldn't translate to the civilian world, mind you, I have a 4 year college degree, and already am a very experienced sales and operations manager for one of the largest, most successful boutique fitness franchises in the world, yet she seemed to only focus on my military background and wouldn't let me expand on my other life experiences in the civilian sector - When it came time for me to ask questions they seemed taken aback by the fact that someone would ask them "Why should I work for you?" "Can I have references from current employees?" "What type of leadership styles do you employ?".. Hmm almost like a job interview is an interview for both sides, but apparently they thought not. Overall I was excited at the possibility of joining the company with the solid pay, benefits, and remote work but after that interview I feel like I dodged a bullet. First time I have ever felt disrespected and had my time wasted by a company I was interviewing with. I hope your experience is better, especially for my fellow veterans who are trying to not let their service define them.

The interview process I had with Aya Healthcare was by far one of the best I've experienced! My recruiter was amazing. She thoroughly answered all my questions and was very responsive. On top of that she went through some interview prep and honest feedback with me as the interviews progressed. I felt so supported and set up for success by her! The second interview with my potential Manager, Sr. Manager, and Director of the program was smooth and enjoyable. They thoroughly wanted to understand my experience, skill set, and why I was motivated for the job, and also gave positive feedback about my answers. They wanted to make sure I was interviewing them just as much as they were interviewing me to ensure we were the best fit for each other. I received an offer letter the following evening! My recruiter called me to share the good news, congratulate, me, and answer any questions regarding the onboarding process. I'm so excited to start my new position with Ay!
