8 month contract role with market risk team. interviewed with the director of the group, but didn't get the offer. General fit questions with follow-up questions on previous work experience

I interviewed for an internal position. The team was relatively new, it consists of a few people and is expanding. With my former position in audit, I was able to demonstrate my knowledge regarding internal processes, systems and organization structure which was highly valued throughout the interviewing process.
