I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BRG (Washington, DC) in Dec 2012
Interview
I had 2 interviews - neither in person. I had a 10 minute casual conversation with the person referring me, and a 20 minute phone interview. I recieved an offer the next day. However, the company was desperate for employees at that time and I think has implemented a more strict interview process. This company is growing steadily and experiencing some growing pains, so each individual's interview process may vary wildly.
One recruiter screen, one take-home technical case study, and then one final round with an Associate Director. No tricky questions and the case was also reasonable with 2+ days to work on it. The managing consultant who did the case interview spent over an hour with me during the interview and just got good vibes about the culture throughout.

Question 1
Asked me about my experience working with multiple stakeholders and providing feedback or managing performance of others.
Recruiter phone interview (going through resume, expectations) followed by 3-4 interviews with multiple team members over the next few weeks all completed online. Was then ghosted by the recruiter which felt unprofessional for a firm after multiple rounds of interviews with a candidate.

Interview
3 interviews total that consists of one behavioral interview, one case study interview that is a take home and Excel based and PowerPoint, and a final interview with a Partner.
